A restaurant group with several outlets needs one source of truth for the menu, while each outlet still controls its own prices, stock and counter. This platform does exactly that: one company, many outlets. HQ assigns the menu, outlets make sales, and HQ sees the reports.
The HQ console manages the master catalogue, assigns items to specific outlets and overrides prices per outlet. Each outlet terminal sees only its assigned items at the effective price. Staff ring up multi-item orders, track stock (restock, wastage, correction) and review every receipt.
The engineering focus was correctness under real-world load. Every sale runs in a single database transaction that locks stock rows in a fixed order (so concurrent sales can't deadlock), validates the whole cart, deducts stock with a guarded update and issues a sequential, gap-free receipt number per outlet. Idempotency keys make network retries and offline replays safe.
This behaviour is backed by 40 integration tests against a real PostgreSQL database. For example, 30 concurrent sales against a stock of 10 produce exactly 10 successes and receipts numbered exactly 1 to 10.
